This group was founded on 7 JUN 1992 as the first Big Book meeting in Greensboro that was non-smoking. It’s often referred to as the “Fernwood Meeting.” They meet in a church gymnasium where chairs are arranged in semi-circular rows. Attendance runs from 60-90 people where they read two paragraphs at a time from the Big Book and share whenever they feel led to. They also support a Saturday meeting at Cone Behavioral Health once a month.
